Welcome to Mathatic. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Mathatic website at mathatic.com and meet.mathatic.com, and all related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Mathatic, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Mathatic is an online educational platform designed to help students prepare for mathematical olympiads, including the Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad (BDMO) and International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). Our Service includes:

  • Access to past olympiad questions and solutions
  • Live classroom sessions with collaborative whiteboards
  • Video and audio communication during live sessions
  • Course materials and educational content

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You may sign up using your email address or through Google Sign-In. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration.

3.2 Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

3.3 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Share inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Distribute spam or unsolicited communications

5. User Content

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you create on Mathatic, including whiteboard drawings, comments, and posts. By posting content, you grant Mathatic a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with the Service.

5.2 Content Standards

You are solely responsible for the content you create. Content must not be illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.

5.3 Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable, without prior notice.

6. Intellectual Property

All content and materials provided on Mathatic, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, video, and software, are the property of Mathatic or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party services such as Google (for authentication) and LiveKit (for video/audio). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MATHATIC AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mathatic and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
